DISCOVERY PRISM
by Educational Insights
Ages: 4 & Up
Grades Pre-Kindergarten
Reflect, bend, and divide light into colors!
Fun Facts:
Although no one knows who invented the prism, Sir Isaac Newton
first studied prisms in 1666. He passed sunlight through a prism
and called the band of separated colors a spectrum, which means
"ghost of light." Optical devices such as binoculars, periscopes,
and telescopes use right-angle prisms to change an image.
Have fun with light, colors, and magnification!
